Local-First Reality
Business Card Builder does not run accounts, a card database, or a server-side card storage system. The information entered into the editor is encoded into the edit string, the read-only share link, QR payloads, and files that the user chooses to copy or export.
What Is Stored
The app writes nothing to this browser: no cookies, no local storage, no session storage. The card being worked on lives in the address bar. Browser history, bookmarks, downloads, and clipboard contents are still controlled by the browser and device. If you save an edit string, share link, QR image, SVG, PNG, or VCF file, that copy lives wherever you put it.
Share Links And Strings
An edit string is a complete copy of the card, and opening it in the editor reproduces every field. A read-only share link carries the same card details; it just does not open the editor. Treat either one as handing over the card in full.
Nothing Is Transmitted
The card stays in this browser. It is stored after the # in the link, and browsers do not send that part with a request. No server receives the card. The string, preview, QR images, and contact file are produced locally. There is no analytics, no tracker, no third-party script, and no font or image loaded from elsewhere.
Technical Logs
Hosting infrastructure may process ordinary request data such as IP address, user agent, timestamps, and requested paths for security, diagnostics, and operations. The card is not in those requests because browsers do not send the part after the #. A link pasted into a chat, email, ticket, or link shortener is readable by that service, and a printed code is readable by anyone who can see it.
